Gotcha!

She paused. A short silence ensued. Impetuously she leaned forward and pressed her moist mouth to his. She felt him responding. Pulled away. And walked away.

She counted her steps. One, Two, Three, Four, Five…

He called her.

She smiled.

Murmured, ‘Gotcha!’

Lessons from the MRT

A person was standing in front of a few people who are seated.

There is one couple on his left. Young teenagers. The girl keep on glancing at him. The boy slumped over the seat as though he lacked a backbone.

In front of him is another man. He closed his eyes but know when to get off.

To his right is a woman. Fat, pudgy face. Hands and eyes intent on the computer game.

Next to her is another woman, lost to her world, deep in thought.

That person stood facing them. His eyes were closed. He leaned against the railing.

His head was bandaged.

Setting up a charity

Now it may not sounds like what it seems, but a charity is really about doing good

First of all, doing good to yourself, your bank account, your status, your life and the quality of food you eat.

Now don’t get me wrong, it is not about myself that I want to set up a charity.

It is about others.

My religion teaches me to do good, for others.

But my religion belongs to the old school of thought: of self-sacrifice, of caring for others first.

That belongs to the past. And we know that the old are useless. They must make way for the new.

The new idea of religion is that we must be rich in order to do good. Our good deeds bless us. If we are poor, how can we do good? The more good we do, the richer we will be.

Many people nowadays agree with this. Wealth is a good thing. Poverty is bad.

If you believe poverty is good, obviously you cannot afford the ERP. If so, get out of my elite uncaring face, buster! I got better things to do than to mix with the likes of you.

Things like guiding people to feel motivated about donating.

Yes, I would like to set up a charity.

To do good.

$1M bounty for Mas Selamat

As always, it is in the details.

(1) How to prevent people from telling other people that you are the one who gave the information. $1M is useless if you cannot cover your tracks.

(2) Will the money be paid only if he is captured or identified or localized? If only upon capture, if the police bungled the attempt, will you still be paid?

(3) Will the money be paid in one instalment or a few instalments?

Will it be paid only after you sign a form saying, “I, so and so of 44 xyz road, singapore 555, nric number S3249383X hereby declare that I had provided information to the capture/identification/localization of Mas Selamat. I acknowledged receipt of ABC Bank cheque number 123456.”

“In the event that Mas Selamat had undergone plastic surgery, burnt his fingerprints, I agree to refund back the $1M provided I did not already spent it.”

“I agree to wait 30 days before cashing in the check.”

“Signed by:                             “

“Date this ___ day of _______ in the year ____”

and bring it to the Commissioner of Oaths.

By the way, stamp duty and gst are chargeable.

ERP will not be reimbursed.
